Memorial Scholarship Application

Application deadline: July 1, 2023

Notification to be sent by: July 15, 2023

The Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to expand professional development opportunities for EMDR trained therapists who would otherwise not be able to attend the EMDRIA Annual Conference. The fund was inspired as a memorial to Elizabeth Snyker, one of our dedicated founding members.

Individuals may apply directly or they may be nominated by others by submitting the following application form.

Applicants awarded a scholarship will receive complimentary Conference registration and, occasionally, some additional travel costs of attending the EMDRIA Conference, when funds are available.

Elligibility

You may not have received an EMDRIA Conference Scholarship during the previous 3 years.

The scholarship will be awarded based on:

  1. Need
  2. Demonstrated service
  3. Potential benefit to the community where applicants provide services
  4. Availability of funds in the Memorial Scholarship Fund

Items required with this application:

  • Brief essay on why you think the applicant should receive the scholarship, including need, demonstrated service and potential benefit to the community.
  • Statement of recommendation from at least one EMDRIA Member
