Children / Adolescents

This will be a 30-minute zoom meeting with a panel of three experienced EMDR therapists who will respond to questions from participants around using EMDR therapy with Children and Adolescents. Attendees will submit questions via chat. The panelists will be live and take turns responding to participant questions.

Gomez

Ana Gómez, MC, LPC

Ana M Gómez, MC, LPC is the founder and director of the AGATE Institute in Phoenix, AZ. She is a psychotherapist, author, and an international speaker on the use of EMDR therapy with children and adolescents with complex and developmental trauma as well as generational wounds and dissociation. Ana is the author of EMDR Therapy and Adjunct Approaches with Children: Complex Trauma, Attachment and Dissociation and several book chapters and articles on the use of EMDR therapy with children and adolescents. In addition, she is the author of multiple children’s books. Ana has developed numerous intensive training programs and protocols. She is a fellow of the International Society of Trauma and Dissociation, ISTD.

Settle

Carolyn Settle, MSW, LCSW

Carolyn Settle has over 44 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced abuse, trauma, and/or loss. She is an author, researcher, international speaker and trainer of EMDR therapy. She is an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant and an EMDR Institute virtual trainer.

Monaco

Annie Monaco, LCSW, RPT

Annie Monaco, LCSW, RPT, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Registered Play Therapist, and a faculty member of both the Child Trauma Institute and of University at Buffalo School of Social Work. Annie travels throughout the US and internationally providing trauma-informed trainings and agency and therapist consultation. She is a trainer of EMDR, Progressive Counting, and Attachment & Dissociation, and is the Chair of the EMDRIA Child and Adolescent Special Interest Group. She has extensive training in complex trauma, family therapy, play therapy, and restorative justice, and over 25 years’ experience in serving children, teens, families, and adults.
