EMDRIA-Day 2 - 1

Welcome, Attendees!

We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for the EMDRIA Conference, whether for the first time or the 30th time. Attending can feel exciting (and maybe a little overwhelming), but we’ve put together this guide to help you feel right at home.

Whether you’re here to learn, connect, or be inspired, you belong in this community. We can’t wait to welcome you.

First-Timers: Look for notes below specifically for you.

EMDRIA-Day 1 - 03

What to Expect

Friendly Faces

At EMDRIA, our community standards are simple: we are welcoming. Please pack not only your essentials, but also your kindness, openness, and collegial spirit. Introduce yourself, invite others into conversation, and help make this conference an inclusive and supportive space for everyone.

First-Timers: You’re not alone, many attendees are here for the first time. Pick up a "First-Time Attendee" ribbon to stick on your badge. Look for other first-timers and say hello!

A Full Schedule

From morning keynotes to evening receptions, the days can be long. But don’t worry, you don’t have to do it all. Plan your must-do events and then allow yourself some breathing room. It’s okay to recharge and come back refreshed.

Community Connections

From the Welcome Reception to coffee breaks, there are plenty of chances to meet colleagues and new friends.

First-Timers: Don't be afraid to introduce yourself. Most people are friendly and happy to connect, especially with first-timers.

Logistics & Practicalities

Download the Conference App (Whova)

See your registration email for login details. The app is essential to RSVP for sessions, views maps, catch the latest updates, and connect with fellow attendees.

Check-In to the Conference

When you arrive, visit the Platinum Ballroom Foyer check-in desk to pick up your name badge and tote bag. Early check-in is available on Wednesday from 3–6 p.m. Regular check-in is available during conference hours, Thursday–Saturday.

Before the conference, you will get an email with a QR code to make check-in quick and easy. Just bring it on your phone or printed out. And if you don’t have it—no worries—we’ll still get you checked in!

Wear your Name Badge

It’s your "ticket" to conference events and how you scan in/out of each session to earn CEs.

Seating

Please arrive early to avoid lines and secure your seat. RSVPing for a session does not guarantee you a seat. Seats throughout the venue marked with "Reserved" signs are specifically designated for individuals with accessibility needs.

Lost & Found

Rooms will be cleared between sessions, so do not leave items behind. Lost an item? Check the info desk or the hotel front desk.

Scan In/Out

If you’re attending to earn continuing education credits, it is essential to scan in/out of each session to track your attendance. You must attend a session in its entirety to earn CEs for that session.

To receive CE credit:
  • Scan in and out of each session
  • Attend the full session
Please review the Learner Letter Notification and complete the Post-program survey for each session to help us improve future programs. CE Certificates will be available via email in the first week of October.

Handouts & Bibliographies

To access handouts and bibliographies:

  • Open the Whova app.

  • Go to the Agenda and select the session. All attendees have access to all handouts and bibliographies.

  • Tap to view or download the handouts and bibliographies. Also, there is a tab "additional resources" in the app where you can find ALL handouts.

EMDRIA will not provide printed handouts at the conference. This helps reduce paper waste and supports our commitment to environmentally responsible practices. Many attendees prefer digital options. However, some speakers may choose to provide printed handouts for educational purposes. Attendees who prefer printed copies for their learning needs are encouraged to download and print materials (available in the app) as they need.

Trainer & Consultant Day Handouts

To access handouts and bibliographies:

  • Open the Whova app.

  • Go to Home and select Handouts. All attendees have access to all handouts and bibliographies.

  • Tap to view or download the handouts and bibliographies.
