EMDRIA™ is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all conference participants.  

These community standards apply to all attendees, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, staff, and service providers, across all conference-related events. This policy applies to all conference-related events, including any events that may be sponsored by organizations other than EMDRIA™ but held in conjunction with EMDRIA™ events on public or private platforms. 

Concerns regarding conduct that may not align with these standards may be submitted through EMDRIA’s formal grievance procedures for review at events@emdria.org.

We ask all participants to engage with openness, curiosity, and mutual respect. 

Expected Behavior

Participants are expected to: 

  • Communicate respectfully and professionally  
  • Be mindful of diverse perspectives and experiences  
  • Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment  
  • Follow all conference guidelines and policies 

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated: 

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form, including sexual harassment 
  • Verbal or physical abuse toward any participant 
  • Disruptive behavior during sessions or events 
  • Inappropriate or offensive language, imagery, or conduct 
  • Unauthorized recording, photography, or distribution of session content 
  • Promotion or solicitation that is not approved by EMDRIA 

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behavior that violates these standards, we encourage you to report it to EMDRIA staff. Please contact: events@emdria.org.

Enforcement 

EMDRIA reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of these Community Standards, including: 

  • Removal from the conference without refund  
  • Restriction from future EMDRIA events
