William Zangwill, Ph.D.


William M. Zangwill, Ph.D., is one of the original EMDR trainers trained by Dr. Francine Shapiro and has trained therapists in EMDR and other methodologies across the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. A frequent presenter at EMDRIA conferences, his publications include “Combining EMDR and Schema-Focused Therapy” and “The Need to Strengthen the Mindfulness Component of EMDR.” He also created the Float Forward and Floatback methods of Target Assessment (Browning 1999). Currently, he practices in New York where he conducts trainings in EMDR and specializes in the treatment of PTSD and of sexual, relationship and family problems.
